Project
M9P3 - MINUS NINE PLUS THREE is a project Co-funded by the Eramsus+ programme of the European Union, promoted by the Italian sports association "Concetto Danza".
WELCOME!
Welcome to M9P3, a revolutionary project dedicated to creating open and inclusive environments for young mothers, pregnant women, and single fathers. In the face of isolation and postpartum depression, M9P3 introduces a groundbreaking training program that spans the gestation period and the crucial first three years of a child's life.
About M9P3:
M9P3 is a sport for pregnant women and mothers. The M9P3 training program goes beyond traditional approaches by forming class groups with a dual purpose. Firstly, it advocates the benefits of sports during pregnancy and postpartum, and secondly, it serves a vital supportive social role. Our overarching goal is to promote inclusion and facilitate physical activity for pregnant women, contributing significantly to the well-being of those dealing with postpartum depression.

Post Partum Depression in Europe:
In Europe, the prevalence of Postpartum Depression (DPP) is a pressing issue, ranging from 8% to 16.7%. Approximately 10-15% of women in Europe and globally suffer from postpartum depression, impacting both the individuals and their families significantly.
Why Sport During Pregnancy is a European Priority:
Encouraging sports during pregnancy is imperative due to evolving socio-cultural dynamics in Europe. As more women delay pregnancy until later in life, managing pregnancies in older age poses greater risks to both mother and child. The transformation of a young body during motherhood is more controllable and reversible than that of a more mature body.
The average percentage of European women with children aged 35 or older has risen to 20.8%. Italy stands at 36.3%, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions. Maternal overweight is also on the rise in several European countries, demanding a proactive approach to ensure the well-being of mothers and children.
So:
Join M9P3 in revolutionizing the approach to pregnancy and postpartum well-being through the power of sports. By focusing on education, empowerment, and inclusivity, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of mothers, pregnant women, and their families. Together, let's build a healthier and happier future.
